Last updated: May 14, 2026

Summary

Dots of Time does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. This extension operates entirely within your browser. Your daily tasks and custom focus quote are stored only in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.

Data we collect

None. This extension:

Data stored locally

The extension uses your browser's localStorage (a built-in browser feature) to remember:

  1. Your custom focus quote (the line of text you set via the Edit button)
  2. Your daily tasks list (up to 10 tasks, including which ones are marked done)

This data is stored only on your device, in your own browser. It never leaves your machine. The developer has no access to it. Uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data deletes this information permanently.

Permissions used

This extension requests zero permissions in its manifest. It does not have access to your tabs, browsing history, bookmarks, or any websites. Its only function is to replace the new tab page with a visual year-progress calendar.

Third-party resources

The extension loads font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) for typography. Google Fonts provides only font files; no executable code or tracking scripts are loaded. When fonts are unavailable (offline), the extension falls back to system fonts. Google may log IP addresses when fonts are loaded; this is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the extension after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
